Welcome, and hello!
I am a photographer, and am happy to call Houston my home after six years of photographing so many beautiful faces and places in the great city of New York. While I can’t get used to the southern humidity quite yet, I'm happy to report 80 degree winters, a slower pace of life, and taco stands and pho shacks everywhere.
I have always been an artist and a creator at heart, since my little 2 year old hands were able to grab a crayon. But my relationship with the camera started in college. I originally focused on contemporary oil painting until I took a darkroom photography course one summer - and I was hooked. As I began to focus on digital photography as my go-to medium, glimpses of my painting origins can still be seen in some of my photos as I often like to capture washes of colors, blurs, and abstract points of view.
I discovered an interest in photographing people in breath-taking Aspen, Colorado when I attended an intensive photography workshop I had won a scholarship for. I was exploring something called environmental portraiture - a style of photography which focuses on people and capturing the relationship they share with their surrounding environment, and each other.
I love photographing people and places to capture their different personalities and stories. Every photo shoot is an intimate process where nothing else matters except for that moment, and that person. I take great pride in presenting quality photos, tastefully edited, so that my clients can preserve memories to last for generations. This is what I live for - to understand others and life through the means of photography, and to create works of art and meaningful relationships.
Outside of photography, I'm an avid traveler and cook alongside my husband. I'm also a mom to two vivicious little girls. Things that make me happy: bubble tea, a good book, movie nights with my family, being able to sleep in, and most importantly - finding humor in ANY situation in life.
