wedding date: October 30, 2015
Gelina and Hadrian are a genuinely warm and wonderful couple I had the pleasure of working with recently. They both work here in NYC, but their story started a few years ago where they met in graduate school in Kentucky. Gelina and Hadrian are of Anglo-Indian origin (so fascinating!), and although they plan to eventually have a big traditional wedding back in India, they wanted to have a New York City Hall ceremony, and celebrate with close friends and family. Gelina still embraced her culture, and donned a beautiful bright pink Indian style dress, which stood out against all the white-wearing brides that day! After the ceremony, we walked all the way to the middle of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge to snap some photos. I thought this was so meaningful as it's "very New York" and also symbolic of change and crossing over to the future. Gelina and Hadrian then generously treated everyone to a wonderful lunch at Tamarind - a highly rated gourmet Indian restaurant in Tribeca. With warm and full stomachs, we then continued with more photos, and cabbed over to a quiet area in the northwest corner of Battery Park. I had a wonderful time with Gelina and Hadrian, and am happy to share some of my favorite photos from their beautiful and happy day...
