+ Anna & Jamie: A wedding worth more than any World Cup goal

wedding date: April 9, 2014

My first photo shoot of the year starts with a very early spring wedding on a bright, blue-skyed day. The receding snow on the ground and the lingering crispness in the air are evidence of the long winter that has been plaguing New York City for months. However, this did not stop an awesome soccer power couple from tying the knot. Anna and Jamie are both professional soccer players and die-hard enthusiasts, and met through the sport they both love... only second to each other (hehe). From the moment I met them, I knew it was going to be a fun day. They were both so relaxed and humorous, that it made it difficult for me to maintain my "studious professionalism" because I couldn't help but laugh and joke with them! What made it more amazing was the multicultural guest list they had; Anna is Spanish-Ukrainian and Jamie is English! Throughout the course of their special day, I followed them (and their soccer ball) around with my camera, from Hotel Indigo in Chelsea, to Cherry Hill in Central Park, and finally, to Bobo -- a lovely little Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village with a lot of rustic charm. It was barely over 40 degrees all day, but Anna and Jamie were filled with so much love and laughter, that it made the whole celebration feel like summer.

Here is a little sneak-peak of the photos captured throughout the wedding:
