Photographing a new client is always an unpredictable event, particularly when working with children! Squirming, pulling at their clothes, incapable of sitting still for more than five seconds - photographing children is a challenging but rewarding experience. I had such a pleasure doing portraits for Sima, a beeaauuutiful mom, and her two young boys, Momo and Moishe. It was a cold and wet November afternoon, and the weather was not able to promise us either a rainy or sunny day, so we got a bit of both! Despite the random bursts of rain, and the unforgiving wind, the family trekked out to meet me by Brooklyn Bridge Park. Sima was so warm and bubbly from the start, and her two boys were playful, and bursting with energy. They definitely put me to the test with their constant silly faces and running around. In between some posing, I tried to let the boys be boys as much as possible, but was still able to catch some beautiful candid moments between the kids and Sima. Laughing, falling all over the place, and tumbling around, this family was an active bundle of joy! So much love and never a dull moment - here are some of my favorite shots from the day...
