I'm sorry, but I totally had to take the chance to insert something Mass Effect-related in this post's title... and since I'm not super familiar with the game - that's all I could come up with! (Just in case anyone reading this is drawing a blank.) But a little more on what I'm talking about:
No words can describe the amazing time I had with this wedding! I met with Christabella and her mom (they are total buddies!) via Skype for our first chat, and was blown away by how genuinely warm, friendly, and smiley they are! They wanted to know everything about me and what I do, and I remember how much the "professional conversation" kept veering off on tangents talking about everything else in life. I must say, though, Christabella and Tommy are a nerdy duo - and I say that with a lot of love. :) They actually met online - not the way "met online" means these days - but via a game they are both huge fans of. Christabella and Tommy were avid Mass Effect gamers, an old Xbox 360 game that recently ended. Christabella hails from the Bronx, and Tommy is from Chicago; but they both started chatting via a Facebook page dedicated to petitioning the disappointing ending of the game, which is how they eventually started talking more one on one with each other. It became pretty clear there was something special there! Finally, Tommy took a leap of faith and came all the way to NYC to meet Christabella in person for the first time - the rest is history. They had a short and sweet ceremony at Sakura Park just near the Columbia University campus, surrounded by only family and their closest friends. Because Mass Effect is the game that brought them together, they decided to honor that by having the game colors - black, red, and white - as their wedding colors! I'm happy to be finally sharing some photos of this amazing couple and family!
